The results of my work on 1860s baseball can be seen TODAY--All-Star Game day--at emerrgingcivilwar.com.
As usual, Kris and Chris have done me well and made my post look great. I happen to be proud of it, and would appreciate your opinions as well.
What usually happens, however, is that I work very hard on something, write it up, edit it, then make sure the writing is elegant and easy to read--and no one says anything. The ones I send in (both here and there) that I know still have a wart or two, or are a scosh shaky somewhere--those get the big numbers.
I try.
Great article on baseball but your Yankee bias really shows through.
ReplyDeleteYes, it does. I will try to do better in the future, I promise. Usually I try to steer away from those topics. Sometime in the future, however--a series on Generals Bartow & Bee, from First Bull Run, which to me is Manassas, but then . . .
ReplyDeleteOr did you mean my New York Yankee bias---LOL!
DeleteCould be that too!! You are such a good writer so it was sad to see you put down the South in the paragraph beginning with the "stuff" that the South got from the North. I still like your blog and read it every day and I look forward to the Manassas series. Keep going!
